The Becoming Journey

Today is World Health Day.

I didn’t plan to write this post because of it — but maybe that’s exactly why I should.
It turns out, World Health Day is the perfect day to begin.

Not just because health matters (obviously it does),
but because for me, the journey toward health has been anything but linear —
and definitely not picture-perfect.

It’s been messy.
Lonely at times.
Confusing.
But also powerful.
Quietly powerful.

There were years I felt unheard — not just in doctor’s offices, but in my own body.
I learned to dismiss my own symptoms because they were constantly minimized.
I was told I was “fine.”
But I knew I wasn’t.

And when you live like that for long enough,
you start to question everything — even yourself.

That’s why I created this space.
Not to pretend I have it all figured out.
But to finally say the things I’ve kept quiet for way too long.

Health isn’t just about lab results or treatment plans.
It’s about truth.
About listening inward.
About remembering that your story is part of your healing — not a side note.
So, while World Health Day is the reason I sat down to write,
this blog — this space — is about more than a single day.

It’s about becoming.

Becoming honest.
Becoming brave.
Becoming who you were always meant to be —
before the world told you to shrink, stay small, or silence your truth.

Here, I’ll be sharing:

  • My personal story (the raw and unfiltered kind)

  • What I’ve learned from functional medicine, intuition, and spiritual healing

  • The moments that cracked me open

  • And hopefully, reminders that you’re not alone in this

If you’ve ever felt dismissed, invisible, or just plain exhausted from pretending to be okay — I get it.

And I want you to know something:

You’re not too much.
You’re not imagining it.
And you’re definitely NOT broken.

You’re becoming.
And that’s sacred.

Thanks for being here — it means more than you know.
This is just the beginning.

With heart,
Rebecca
